The BSC480 has been developed to optimise the stump cutting ability of your 2.5 - 8.0 ton Mini Digger or Backhoe Loader (Patented Offset Design).

With its integrated hydraulic controls, maximum utilisation of the host machine's power output can be achieved. The design of the BSC480 allows positioning and working in remote locations which conventional stump cutters would not reach.

The concept of the BSC480 permits the operator to position the cutter in some of the most difficult positions, yet still achieve unparalleled stability by using the host machine as a stabiliser. This high level of stability permits a safe smooth cutting operation.

Joystick control allows operation of the BSC480, from either within the cab or externally using the flexi control lead. (Flexi control lead may require a second operator).

Offset design

The patented offset design of the Universal Bingham stump grinder increases productivity by providing maximum visibility to the stump, allowing better control of the cutting head. The offset design also directs the chips and dust to the side and away from the operator, improving operator comfort.

Standard and high flow versions

Universal Bingham stump grinders are available in standard flow and high flow versions. The two versions allow the stump grinder to be matched to the hydraulic power available from your skid steer.

High torque direct-drive motors

Both standard and high flow versions utilise high torque, direct-drive motors for maximum productivity.

Swing-in controls

Depth and swing functions are easily and precisely controlled with the swing-in hydraulic controls. The direct acting hydraulic valve mounts on a swing-in arm, which swings into the operator compartment for fast, precise control of the cutting head.

Priority control circuit

The hydraulic circuit on Universal Bingham stump grinders give metered flow to the control circuit without reducing the power to the cutting head.

Stabiliser rollers

For ease of operation the Universal Bingham stump grinders are mounted on stabiliser rollers, allowing the operator to position or reposition the grinder without operating individual stabilisers. The rollers allow movement of the unit on the ground without any damage to the surface.
